Jamie Foster and Fletch Me If You Can Win 2009 NRCHA Hackamore Classic Non Pro Limited
The final day of competition at the 2009 National Reined Cow Horse Association Hackamore Classic began with the concurrent running $5K Non Pro Limited and the Non Pro Limited (Provisional) classes of the horse show. Jamie Foster earned the Championship of both classes on her horse, Fletch Me If You Can.
Foster and the Royal Fletch gelding, ( x Sug Sug Could), marked 145 in the rein work and 148 in the cow work. The resulting score of 293 fetched $875 in the $5K Non Pro Limited, and an additional $195 in the Non Pro Limited (Provisional). “He felt really quiet and soft in the rein work. In the boxing we got a pretty good cow, and my horse locked onto it and worked it well. He was nice and solid overall,” Foster said following the awards ceremony. The Non Pro was quick to thank her trainer, Ron Emmons, and his wife, Ladonna, for all their help. “I also want to thank my horse. He’s been doing great for me and I feel very fortunate to have him,” she said. The $5K Non Pro Limited Reserve title went to Claire Hanssen and Leannas Nu Cash, by The Nu Colonel and out of Peppy Leanna. Hanssen pocketed $688 for the total score of 291.5. In the Non Pro Limited (Provisional), Cheryl Bognuda took Reserve honors on Tellacut, by Lenas Telesis and out of Peppacutta. The Reserve title was worth $163.
